Date change!!
Okay, don't get too settled on October 23 as the birthday. Today I had an OB visit (he listened to the heart beat and it sounded great!). The pediatric surgeon wanted to change my c-section date to October 22, 2009 so they will be able to have more access to operating rooms on Thursday and Friday. The doc said something about it being hard to get an OR on Friday afternoon?! Who knows...so NOW our little boy will be born on October 22, 2009. 6 weeks and 6 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy COW!!
This is me in my new kitchen, that is almost done...check out that dishwasher!! I am 32 weeks today!

ReplyDelete10/22 is a GREAT date! It's Kat/Ian's anniversary, and my half-birthday! It's very good luck.
I can't believe it's only a month and a half away! Where did the time go!?!??!?!
I know...6 weeks and 5 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am having a baby with an omphalocele as well, though I am having a little girl!! And our pregnancies are very very close! I find out this thursday when I am going to have my C section, sometime between the 18th and the 24th of October when I am 39 weeks! You should send me an email, as I am not very familiar with this website, but would love to talk to you! It is alyssaviolett@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you! It would be nice to share stories.
ReplyDeleteHi Alyssa,
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you found my blg, please request to be a friend and that way you can keep up to date on how everyone is doing. I too will be 39 weeks when I deliver by c-section. Hope you are doing well, I will email as soon as I can. Have a great week!
Yes I am going to try to figure out this website slowly but surely! I think we have our C section date set, but am not totally sure yet. I have to go in and do another amniocentisis (ouch!) on October 14th to make sure that my little girl's lungs are developed enough to come out and then if that goes well then she will be born October 15th and 6am. She has a giant omphalocele, with her liver and her bowels in it. Like you, my first amniocentisis came back normal. The only bad thing that the doctors are seeing, besides the omphalocele, is a cist of some sort on her lower spine. They don't know what it is, and won't know until she is here, though hopefully it won't complicate things further. How is your pregnancy going?
ReplyDeleteHi Alyssa,
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if you saw but I too had to have two amnios, the second because the first one didn't grow any cells to test. However, I have to say that the second one was much easier and less painful for some reason. Perhaps because I knew what it felt like and what to expect?
I have been well. Since I started back to work (I am a teacher) I have had some swelling of my fingers and feet that is painful and some tingling of fingers which hurts and is annoying.
How is your pregnancy doing?
